The CrossFit Open is back, and it's time to get ready to test your fitness against the best in the world.

The 2024 Open will be a three-week competition that will begin on February 29th and will run until March 18th. Workouts are announced every week on Thursday and you have until Monday night to complete the WOD and register it online.

No matter what fitness level you have, you can take part in The Open, you can choose from RX, Scaled and Foundation versions of the weekly workouts. We are all in it together, at least at the start as any athlete who hopes to get to the CrossFit Games in Fort Worth in 2024 has to start with the Open.

Timeline for the 2024 Open

Registration: From January 9th

Workout release:

24.1 : 29 February – 3 March
24.2 : 7 – 11 March
24.3 : 14 – 18 March

2024 CrossFit Open Workouts

The 2024 Open will feature three workouts, each released weekly on Thursdays at 12 .00 (PT) (21.00 CET) and scores are due by Monday at 17.00 (PT) (Tuesday 02.00 CET).

The workouts will be designed to test a wide range of fitness attributes, including strength, endurance, and gymnastics.

2024 CrossFit Open Equipment List

The following equipment was required for the 2023 Open, but currently there has not been an equipment list released for 2024.

  • Barbell (35 lb or 45 lb)
  • Standard bumper plates, change plates, and collars
  • Dumbbells (20 lb to 70 lb)
  • Kettlebells (16 kg, 24 kg, or 32 kg)
  • Medicine balls (10 lb, 14 lb, or 20 lb)
  • Plyometric boxes (20 in, 24 in, or 30 in)
  • Gymnastics rings
  • Jump ropes
  • Concept2 rower
  • Pull-up bar
  • Wall space
  • Clear floor space (25 ft)
  • Climbing ropes (optional)
  • GHD (optional)

How to Participate in the Open

To participate in the Open, you must be at least 14 years old.

You can register online at https://open.crossfit.com/.

Once you have registered, you will be able to access the workouts and scores through your CrossFit.com profile.
