The 2025 CrossFit Team Semifinals are here, and this year brings a streamlined structure and key updates teams need to be aware of.

Here’s a breakdown of the most important information for teams preparing to compete.

Competition Dates: From Thursday, April 24 at 12 p.m. PT to Sunday, April 27 at 5 p.m. PT
Registration: Opens Monday, April 7 at games.crossfit.com
Registration Fee: USD $100 per team
Competition Roster:
Minimum: 4 athletes (2 men and 2 women)
Maximum: 6 athletes (3 men and 3 women)
The roster becomes final once registration is completed.
Competition Location: At the registered affiliate gym
Leaderboard: Oficial
Final Leaderboard Announcement: May 2, 2025
Teams Advancing to the CrossFit Games: Top 20 teams (only one team per affiliate)
Workout Videos: Not required upon score submission, but recommended for teams aiming to qualify.

5 rounds for time of:
15 clean and jerks (MM/FF pairs)
20 synchro line-facing burpees

75 synchro dumbbell cleans
50 box jump-overs (MM/FF pairs)
75 synchro dumbbell shoulder-to-overheads

♂ 50-lb (22.5-kg) dumbbells, 24-inch box

Format & Workouts

Workouts will be performed at the team’s affiliate.

The team must select 2 men and 2 women from the declared roster to complete all workouts.

No substitutions are allowed once the competition begins.

Injured or absent athletes cannot be replaced during the event.

The number and details of workouts will be announced before April 24.

Judging and Video Guidelines

Teams are not required to submit videos unless requested by CrossFit.

It is highly recommended that all performances be recorded in case of a review.

All workouts must be judged by:

  • A Head Judge with current L1/OL1 certification
  • A Floor Judge with L1/OL1 certification and completion of the 2025 Judges Course and Advanced Judges Course

Both judges’ names must be submitted with each score.

Scoring and Leaderboard

All Open scores reset at the start of Semifinals.

Teams earn points based on placement in each workout (lower is better).

Ties are broken based on highest single workout placement.

Leaderboard will remain hidden until the event concludes.

Qualification to CrossFit Games

Top 20 teams advance to the 2025 CrossFit Games.

Only one team per affiliate can qualify. If multiple teams from the same affiliate place in qualifying positions, the next eligible team from another affiliate will be invited.

Final Notes

Teams should ensure all rules regarding setup, judging, and video standards are followed.

CrossFit may review any performance and apply penalties where appropriate.
