2025 Age-Group Semifinals: What You Need to Know

The Age-Group Semifinals mark the second stage of the CrossFit Games season for teen and masters athletes. Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect.
Who Qualifies?
The top 2% of athletes in each age division worldwide—or a minimum of 200 athletes—advance from the Open. These divisions range from 14-15 years old to 70+.
Key Dates
- Competition Window: April 3 (12 p.m. PT) – April 6 (5 p.m. PT)
- Leaderboard Finalized By: April 21, 2025
- Registration Opens: March 31, 2025
- Registration Fee: $100 USD
2025 Age Group Semifinal Workouts
Requirements
- All workouts must be done at a licensed CrossFit affiliate.
- Athletes must be judged by a Head Judge and Floor Judge, both holding:
- Active L1 (or higher)
- 2025 Judges Course
- Advanced Judges Course
- Video submission is mandatory for every workout (public YouTube links only).
Scoring & Format
- Athletes start with a clean slate—Open scores don’t carry over.
- Final rankings are based on cumulative placement across all workouts.
- Ties are broken by the best individual workout finish.
Games Qualification
Top athletes from each division will qualify for the 2025 CrossFit Games:
- Teens (14–17): Top 30 boys/girls
- Masters 35–59: Top 30 men/women
- Masters 60–69: Top 20 men/women
- Masters 70+: Top 10 men/women
Declined spots may be backfilled.

- Video reviews may result in penalties or score adjustments.
- Athletes are responsible for correct setup, judging, and video quality.
- Scores remain private until the competition ends.
